The OrgHub compliance system is designed to take care of multiple Compliance Items in any given Compliance Event. Each Compliance Event is comprised of at least one "Compliance Item". And in some cases a Compliance Event will have multiple "Compliance Items".
Every Compliance Event will have an Effective Date. And on that Effective Date there might be multiple types of Compliance Items that need to be taken care of. You can think of each Compliance Item as a distinct step in a process that occurs chronologically all on the same Effective Date.
For example, if someone who holds both a director role and an officer role in a nonprofit is resigning as both an officer and director on the same date then you would have two Compliance Items on the one Effective Date: one Compliance Item for the change of directors and the other for the change of officers.
